Thank you for sending MGR (Melbourne Gospel Radio) your web site and the fact you have a two types of programs available.
I spent over 16 years digitally placing all our library into MP3 with e-tagging. That time mainly meant removing scratches from vinyl records that had been used to start Bendigo Radio station, and Ballarat Gospel Radio. That meant they took up to 12 hours a song. I loved doing it and felt a sense of urgency as many people with no church background listened to our music and rang us for help. We had five lines into the station due to the number of calls. Unfortunately I expected many commercial stations using FM/AM to transfer to Digital Radio but that didn’t happen. I have been told the best way to broadcast would be using a program called SAM Broadcaster (internet only). Still trying to work out if it would be the way fwd. Unfortunately all the broadcasters have either retired now of moved out of Melbourne. Your programs have given me a hope that it may be possible although I am now 70 years of age and retired. I want to see the music and messages go to air. The closest station I know that played music like we did is Houston KHCB but we did have more Country Music. However all the Christian stations around here have music you cannot even understand most of the lyrics. As in our constitution we can only play songs that have a message and the lyrics are clear. As I write this I am listing to your Country Gospel programs and it is the type of music we played.
Thank you for your invitation. I am praying that God will bring someone else in to help with the station as I think it maybe too much for one person. Ultimately have complete program of music and messages. I will contact you if it is possible to start the station as I will not put other people’s work to air without acknowledging it.
